…to the happy band of volunteers who turned up on Saturday to help us clear up the school grounds after the winter winds. As well as clearing leaves and other tree-fall from the site we (Tim Seymour, Mr Meighan and Mr Rawlinson more precisely) also coppiced a significant amount of hazel from behind the school building which has really opened up the area as a more practical learning space.
Our school is a much better place for the support it gets from its community. It really does embody a true fellowship and serves as a great example to our pupils (several of whom were also on hand to help with the work!).
Thank you!
The kids had a really fun day; the best bit was squashing down the leaves in the compost bin by jumping up and down on it! Can’t wait to see your plans for the space we created.
