Christmas Newsletter

Dear parents, pupils, staff and governors,

Witnesses

Thank you to all of you who came to show support for the children this week and last in their performance of ‘Witnesses’. It was great to see so many of you attend and the children really enjoyed relaying the story of the nativity to you. I hope you enjoyed watching and listening to the children as they sang with joy and happiness! As the children sang this week:

“Let’s be the first, to share His love on Earth,

For it’s Christmas time again!”

Governors Questionnaire

On behalf of the school governors thank you to everyone who filled in the governor questionnaire at the recent parent evenings. It was very encouraging to receive such positive comments and suggestions. The one question that didn’t result in a positive response was that concerning what was known about the governors. We will be addressing this by adding to the information currently on the school website in the very near future, letting you know exactly who we are and what we do.

 The future

This term and indeed 2015 has been very busy but we already have lots planned for 2016 including:

  • A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) week in March
  • An arts week in the summer term
  • Osmington Bay residential for pupils in Jupiter Class in June
  • Participation in the Shakespeare Schools Festival (which will involve pupils currently in Years 4 and 5) in the autumn of 2016

Exciting times ahead!

I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a peaceful and blessed Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

Kind regards

Ian Hickman, Headteacher
