Dare to be Different @ Thruxton

Our Year 6 girls enjoyed a fantastic day at Thruxton on Friday. We were invited by the ‘Dare to be different’ team which encourages girls to participate in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths activities. We met a Sky Sports presenter and role-played an interview with a racing driver. There were lots of games to play which tested reaction times. We even made our own hoverboard! During the day we met lots of drivers. Justina Williams, who is the boss of the mini racing team, gave an inspiring speech and the message that girls can achieve anything they want. ITV4 were filming all day and we were on TV on Sunday as part of the British Touring Car Championships footage. It was a brilliant day.
