Spring term 2021- Hockey and tri-golf
This term Maple and Oak Class (Year 3-6) have been practising their hockey skills. The younger children have been learning tri-golf skills.

We learned that yeast was alive. First we put dried yeast into some warm water with some sugar for food. We then put the balloon on top. As the yeast respired it filled the balloon with carbon dioxide gas. It inflated the balloon! We took measurements of how wide the balloon got and timed it. […]
Year 6 – Bikeability
Our Year 6 students had a four day course of ‘Bikeability’. They learned about safety checking their bikes as well as performing manoeuvres on the road. All students achieved their level 2 award – well done Year 6 🙂

Science Fun!
We planned an experiment to find out which materials were good insulators. Ice cubes were placed in a glass jar and wrapped with a variety of insulating materials. We had to take the temperature and measure the water in the jar as the cubes melted.

Our Year 6 pupils organised the annual talent show. They created sign up sheets, held auditions and organised the final performance.
