We borrowed the 5/6 day old chicks from Beech Class yesterday. We were all brave enough to hold them & learnt a bit about what they eat & where they live.

Thursday 5th March saw a great variety of potato characters in Willow class. We spent some time in the morning sharing our picture books & characters with Oak class. A great reading time spent by all 🙂
Multi-Skills at Harrow Way
Year 1 had a fabulous time in Harrow way sports hall on Monday, being directed by older Year 7 children (some of which were ex pupils of Appleshaw) to do a wide range of activities. Here are some examples.
Aladdin

Fire safety talk
On Friday, Tracey visited to talk to us all about fire safety, how to keep safe & how to talk on the phone to the fire brigade. She reminded us it’s a good idea to all learn our own house addresses also.
A nurse came in to see us
Last Tuesday we had the pleasure of Mrs Lishman, a nurse who came to tell us more about how to stay healthy, our bones and talk about what she does as a nurse and how she helps.

A Policeman knocked on Willow class’ door!
