What a busy haft term we’ve had here’s a taster of some of the things we have been up to!

The Oak Tree

This year we are going to make a long term study of our beautiful oak tree. We will be carefully observing changes through the seasons and trying to find out what lives there.

We shook the branches and saw what fell out, there we lots of spiders! One of them was very big! We will be interested to find out if we find different mini beasts throughout the year.

Tennis

We have enjoyed our tennis coaching every Wednesday with Ben from Andover Tennis Club.

Journey Sticks – map making 

We went on a journey around our school field. We collected items of interest and attached them to our journey sticks. The items reminded us of points along our journey such as a change of direction or different features. We then used our journey sticks to make a map of our route. We added symbols and a key to represent different areas along our route.
